Job Details:

• Locum tenens emergency medicine coverage with urgent need for nights, weekends, and holidays
• 
  
• Day and night shifts available, 8-10 shifts per month
• 
  
• No guaranteed hours over 8; overtime begins after confirmed shift is worked (8, 10, or 12 hour shifts)
• 
  
• Shift times vary by location and include early morning, midday, and overnight options
• 
  
• Must be ER residency trained and board certified in Emergency Medicine; Family Medicine or Internal Medicine will not be accepted
• 
  
• Perform standard emergency medicine procedures including central lines and intubations
• 
  
• Patient volume approximately 40,000 per year with 20-25 patient encounters per shift
• 
  
• Level 3 Trauma designation facility
• 
  
• 17 beds in the Emergency Department
• 
  
• Admission rate of approximately 15%
• 
  
• EMR system is EPIC
• 
  
• Consultants available include cardiology, nephrology, surgery, podiatry, orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, tele-neurology, and hospitalist services
• 
  
• Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• 
  
• Availability through 2026 must be provided at time of submission

This is a full-service community hospital offering a wide range of medical services including emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, and women's health. The emergency department is equipped with modern technology including EPIC EMR and supported by a broad network of specialist consultants available around the clock. The facility maintains a Level 3 Trauma designation and provides anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, and radiology services with 24-hour availability.
