• 158-bed facility with daily billable encounters of 119 and approximately 22.4 daily admissions

• Average patient census of 101 with standard emergency medicine visits

• Patient population is rural Tennessee
• 
  
• Facility is an accredited chest pain and stroke center
• 
  
• Not a trauma center; high acuity cases handled accordingly
• 
  
• Support staff includes nurses and technicians
• 
  
• 1-2 EM physicians on staff per shift plus APPs
• 
  
• Standard ED procedures required
• 
  
• 2-day shadow and orientation period upon start
• 
  
• Timesheet approver is the Site Medical Director
