Job Details:

• Average of 3 24-hour shifts per month (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM), with occasional 12-hour shifts available

• In-house on-call coverage provided with a sleep room available for providers
• 
  
• Average daily volume of 4 emergency department patients per day
• 
  
• Average daily hospital practice census of 4 inpatients including observation, acute, and swing bed patients
• 
  
• EMR system: TogetherCare (EPIC)
• 
  
• Inpatient responsibilities included as part of the role
• 
  
• No outreach requirements
• 
  
• Team of 4 Advanced Practice Providers on staff with no supervision of APPs expected
• 
  
• Nursing support includes 2 RNs covering all services, with 1 CNA per provider
• 
  
• 3 emergency department treatment rooms and 20 inpatient beds available
• 
  
• Medical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services on site
• 
  
• Board Certification through ABEM or FP/IM with recent emergency medicine experience required
• 
  
• Active Iowa license required
• 
  
• Drive-in candidates required
• 
  
• Clean malpractice and background history required
• 
  
• Self-Query NPDB Report pulled within 30 days required at time of presentation

Facility:

This is a Critical Access Hospital offering comprehensive medical care to the surrounding community. The facility features a 3-bed Emergency Department and a 20-bed medical-surgical department to support a wide range of inpatient needs. A broad array of outpatient services is also available, including laboratory, radiology, rehabilitation services, infusion services, and ambulatory surgery. The facility is supported by a dedicated nursing and ancillary staff team committed to delivering quality patient care.
