Job Details:

• Emergency Medicine physician needed to cover both freestanding emergency department (FSED) and main emergency department locations
• 
  
• Must be BCEM boarded or have previous HCA experience
• 
  
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine (IM/FP/ABEM) accepted; if not ABEM, must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
• 
  
• 12-hour shifts available covering both AM and PM shifts
• 
  
• FSED features 12 bays with low to mid acuity patients, single provider coverage, and an admission rate of 8-10%
• 
  
• Main emergency department features 80 bays with mid to high acuity patients, multi-provider coverage, and an admission rate of approximately 30%
• 
  
• Patient volume averages 2-2.5 patients per hour at peak times
• 
  
• No trauma center designation
• 
  
• Nurse/APP triage support available at main location only; FSED operates without triage support
• 
  
• Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies
• 
  
• Standard emergency department support staff provided at all locations
• 
  
• 5 positions available
