Job Details:

• Provide emergency medicine coverage at regional hospitals in the Northwoods of Wisconsin
• 
  
• Immediate need with over 20 shifts per month available
• 
  
• Mostly single coverage with some shift overlap and double coverage with two APCs
• 
  
• Admission rate is approximately 20%
• 
  
• Patient encounters per shift range from 17 to 23
• 
  
• Two smaller critical access hospitals located within thirty minutes
• 
  
• Flexible with the number of locum providers
• 
  
• Local and Midwest-based providers strongly preferred to reduce travel issues in the winter
• 
  
• Board certification required with minimum certification level of Certified
• 
  
• Required certifications include ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
• 
  
• Level 4 trauma facility
• 
  
• Support services with 24-hour availability include Anesthesia, General Surgery, Laboratory, OR, Orthopedic Surgery, and Radiology
• 
  
• Newborn deliveries are received in the ED and a Labor and Delivery department is on site
• 
  
• Clean NPDB/file required
