Provide high-quality emergency medical care including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients
Work collaboratively with attending physicians to manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions
Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Handle mostly medical cases with low trauma and medium to high acuity, averaging 8-14 patients per day
Work varied shifts including mid shifts (11a-8p), AM shifts (7a-4p weekdays / 7a-3p weekends), and PM shifts (2p-11p weekdays / 3p-11p weekends)
Must be willing to work varied shifts depending on facility needs, including potential night shifts (6p-3a or 10p-7a) in the future
Ideal availability of 2 weeks of coverage per month (approximately 15 shifts) on an ongoing basis
Weekend availability required
EMR system: EPIC
Support staff includes RNs
Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABEM/AOBEM) required
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required
Active Washington State license required (IMLC not accepted)
Emergency Medicine Fellowship required
ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA certifications required
Clean background and malpractice history required
