Job Details:

• Emergency Medicine physician needed for ongoing full-time positions

• ABEM board certification preferred; exceptions made for strong, experienced providers
• 
  
• Shift times available: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 
  
• No call coverage required
• 
  
• One Emergency Medicine physician on staff per shift
• 
  
• Average patient census of 55-60 patients daily, approximately 2 patients per hour with occasional larger patient volumes
• 
  
• Most common cases include medical complaints such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and shortness of breath, as well as basic trauma including falls, motor vehicle collisions, and sports injuries
• 
  
• Rarely involves severe or penetrating trauma cases
• 
  
• Required procedures include ED procedures such as intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube placement, CPR, suture repair, incision and drainage, and central line placement
• 
  
• Orientation consists of 2 shadow shifts
• 
  
• 4 total positions available

This facility is a full-service emergency department providing comprehensive emergency medical care to the surrounding community. The department is staffed with supportive nursing and on-call specialists to assist physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. The facility handles a broad range of emergency cases from routine medical complaints to basic trauma, offering a dynamic and well-supported clinical environment.
