• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine required

• Minimum 2-3 years of recent emergency medicine experience required

• Must be eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Georgia medical license free of restrictions, probationary terms, or conditions

• No history of license revocation, restriction, or suspension in any jurisdiction

• Active Georgia DEA required for consideration

• Recent experience seeing high volume and high acuity patients required
• 
  
• Emergency department consists of 20 ED bays, 12 fast track bays, and 3 high security rooms
• 
  
• Patient volume of approximately 1.8-2.0 patients per hour
• 
  
• Nurse/APP triage available for lower acuity patients with fast track area open from 8:00 AM to 2:00 AM
• 
  
• Physician shift lengths are 11-hour shifts (6:00 AM-5:00 PM, 11:00 AM-10:00 PM, 7:00 PM-6:00 AM) and 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM-6:00 PM, 1:00 PM-11:00 PM, 4:00 PM-2:00 AM)

• Both AM and PM shift coverage required

• Staffing model includes 2-4 emergency medicine providers on site simultaneously with 2 overlapping shifts

• ED admission rate of 12-16%

• Ongoing need for 2 locum positions
