    Civilian Physician (Family Medicine)

    • This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
    • Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

     

    Salary: Up to-$335,000 per year

    Winn Army Community Hospital is a military treatment facility located at Fort Stewart, Georgia, that was established in 1983 and named after Brigadier General Dean Flewellyn Winn, Sr. It serves active-duty soldiers, family members, retirees, and veterans in the coastal Georgia region.

     

    Responsibilities:

    As a Family Medicine Physician, you will:

     

    • Provide comprehensive outpatient care to beneficiaries ranging from newborn to geriatric age presenting with complex and interdependent acute and chronic conditions.
    • Provide pre- and post-deployment health assessments and preventive health assessments (PHA).
    • Manage medical conditions pertaining to the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), security clearances, overseas clearances, pre-confinement evaluations, line of duty (LOD) investigations, and occupational and fitness for duty medical evaluations.
    • Perform ambulatory surgical procedures and outpatient procedures.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic and testing procedures including laboratory and radiological examinations.
    • Advise other physicians, non-physician providers, and nursing and para-professional staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non-urgent medical problems.
    • Provide clinical and administrative leadership to the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team.
    Qualifications:

    US Citizenship is required

    Board certification is required in almost all cases

    Active, unencumbered medical license is required
