Vascular and Vein Physician
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible MD or DO with an active Illinois medical license to join our growing vein and vascular practice. Qualified candidates may come from one of the following specialties: General Surgery, Vascular & Interventional Radiology, Interventional Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with venous disease and chronic venous insufficiency using both minimally invasive and non-invasive treatment options. Physicians will perform procedures including endovenous thermal ablation, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, ambulatory phlebectomy, and other office-based vein interventions. Training and mentorship in specific vein procedures can be provided for physicians who are interested in expanding their procedural expertise.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with venous disease and related conditions.
- Perform office-based vein procedures, including endovenous ablation, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, and other minimally invasive interventions.
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, expected outcomes, and follow-up care.
- Interpret venous duplex ultrasound studies and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, AAAHC, HIPAA, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement.
- Build collaborative relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, and referring providers.
- Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.
- Maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct while protecting patient confidentiality.
