Opportunity:

Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• See 14-18 patients per shift providing comprehensive gastroenterology services
• 
  
• Perform upper GI endoscopy including procedures with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeding
• 
  
• Conduct injection of varices and PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
• 
  
• Perform ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) both diagnostic and therapeutic
• 
  
• Provide esophageal dilatation/manometry services and interpret esophageal manometry results
• 
  
• Conduct small bowel biopsy and lower GI endoscopy procedures
• 
  
• Perform both flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
• 
  
• Conduct colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities
• 
  
• Perform endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and liver biopsy procedures
• 
  
• Manage insertion and maintenance of Sengstaken/Blakemore tubes
• 
  
• Board certification required with fellowship training preferred
• 
  
• Locum tenens position with ongoing coverage needs
