Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Locum MD position for primary clinic coverage with preference for locum seeking permanent placement, though not required
• 
  
• Schedule consists of 3 days of clinic and 1 day of procedures per week, with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and no call requirements
• 
  
• Seeking coverage for two weeks per month
• 
  
• Alternative schedule option available: 5 days of clinic in week 1, stay the weekend, then 4 days of procedures in week 2 ending Thursday
• 
  
• 4-day work week with clinic work and one day of procedures
• 
  
• No hospital coverage and no call required
• 
  
• Up to 14 patient encounters per day
• 
  
• Board certification required with minimum board certification eligibility accepted
• 
  
• Fellowship required
• 
  
• BLS and ABLS certifications required
• 
  
• Preferred procedural skills include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, and PEG placement
• 
  
• Preferred skills also include esophageal dilatation/manometry, esophageal manometry interpretation, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision, liver biopsy, and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management
