Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage with in-house hospital rounding for 8 hours per day, including procedures and rounding
• 
  
• Perform colonoscopies, biopsies, polypectomies, proctoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy, hemorrhoidal banding, upper GI endoscopy, PEG, esophageal variceal banding, banding lesions, management of acute GI bleeding, and dilation
• 
  
• ERCP experience highly preferred with expected volume of one to two procedures per week
• 
  
• Perform approximately one to two scopes per day in the hospital setting
• 
  
• Manage an average of one to two new patient consults per day
• 
  
• Round on an average of five to six patients per day
• 
  
• Work as a solo locum with no additional gastroenterologist on site and no clinic responsibilities
• 
  
• No supervision of other healthcare providers required
• 
  
• Work within an endoscopy room supported by RNs and CRNAs
• 
  
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system
• 
  
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology required
• 
  
• Active North Dakota state license highly preferred; pending license or IMLC accepted
• 
  
• BLS and DEA certification required
• 
  
• Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation, dated within 30 days of presentation date
• 
  
• Case logs will be requested for review at presentation and offer
