Opportunity:
Physician - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
Weekend call coverage needed Friday at 3:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM (times can be negotiated)
3 days of call coverage needed per week on a weekly basis
Pediatric Gastroenterology department serving adolescents, pediatrics, and newborns (approximately 33% each)
Expected patient volume of 8 12 patients per day with a daily census of approximately 10
Consult service only; provider is expected to manage urgent cases such as bleeds as standard of care, though these are uncommon
Scoping performed at this location only; other scopes on weekends are at the discretion of the provider based on urgency
Hospital bed size of 50
EMR system: EPIC (providers with experience may test out; virtual training available if needed)
X-ray interpretation skills preferred
Board Certification in Pediatric GI or GI required
Active South Carolina state license required; IMLC not accepted
BLS and ACLS certifications required
DEA and CSR required
Minimum of 2 years of experience post-training required
Clean malpractice history required; providers with dismissed cases should be discussed prior to submission
