Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide advanced GI coverage including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Flex Sig, and related procedures
• 
  
• Coverage includes 24-hour call, hospital service, and inpatient/outpatient procedures
• 
  
• Scheduled 8-hour weekday shifts focused primarily on procedures with weeknight call added on
• 
  
• Weekends and applicable holidays covered under true 24-hour call
• 
  
• Locum coverage typically does not include clinic responsibilities
• 
  
• Board certification required with minimum board certification eligibility accepted
• 
  
• Fellowship training required
• 
  
• Required procedure skills include: Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and cautery/laser fulguration; diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP; small bowel biopsy; lower GI endoscopy; flexible sigmoidoscopy; colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
• 
  
• Preferred procedure skills include: Injection of varices, PEG placement, esophageal dilation/manometry, esophageal manometry interpretation, rigid sigmoidoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), liver biopsy, and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management
• 
  
• Open to considering candidates who do not perform EUS procedures
• 
  
• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center
