Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Shift hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an unpaid one-hour lunch break
• 
  
• Upper endoscopy procedures average 30 minutes per procedure
• 
  
• Colonoscopy procedures average 30 minutes per procedure
• 
  
• Combined procedures average 60 minutes
• 
  
• Most procedures performed with moderate sedation
• 
  
• Board certification required with minimum board certification eligibility
• 
  
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 
  
• Fellowship training required
• 
  
• Required procedures include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder
• 
  
• Small bowel biopsy and lower GI endoscopy required
• 
  
• Sigmoidoscopy (flexible required, rigid preferred) required
• 
  
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp required
• 
  
• Esophageal dilatation/manometry and esophageal manometry interpretation preferred
• 
  
• Locum Tenens request type
