Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens position providing gastroenterology coverage
• 
  
• Patient encounters per shift: 5-10
• 
  
• Board certification required at minimum certified level
• 
  
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 
  
• Fellowship required
• 
  
• Required procedural skills include:
• 
  
• Upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), and injection of varices
• 
  
• ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) - both diagnostic and therapeutic
• 
  
• Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)
• 
  
• Small bowel biopsy
• 
  
• Lower GI endoscopy
• 
  
• Sigmoidoscopy - both flexible and rigid
• 
  
• Colonoscopy with biopsy
