Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide gastroenterology coverage from June 19, 7am to June 26, 7am
• 
  
• See inpatient consults, emergency department consults, and transfers
• 
  
• ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) preferred
• 
  
• Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder
• 
  
• Handle injection of varices and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures
• 
  
• Conduct PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
• 
  
• Perform esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpret results
• 
  
• Complete small bowel biopsies and lower GI endoscopy procedures
• 
  
• Conduct flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
• 
  
• Perform colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
• 
  
• Handle liver biopsies and manage Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion
• 
  
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) experience preferred
• 
  
• Board certification required with fellowship training
• 
  
• ACLS certification required
• 
  
• Facility operates as a Level 3 trauma center
