Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
- Locum Tenens assignment covering inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers
- ERCP preferred
- Board certification required at minimum certified level
- ACLS certification required
- Facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center
- Required procedural skills include:
- Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices
- ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) - diagnostic and therapeutic
- PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
- Esophageal dilatation, manometry, and manometry interpretation
- Small bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) preferred
- Liver biopsy
- Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
- Fellowship training required
