Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
- Provide gastroenterology coverage with ERCP required
- Work Monday through Friday 9-hour shifts with 1-hour lunch (8 billable hours) plus 15-hour overnight call
- Weekend call coverage for 24 hours
- Complete block coverage required - must have full availability for all requested dates
- Work independently without scribe or assistant support
- Responsible for all charting and work completion
- Review pathology results and communicate follow-up recommendations to patients through nurses
- Perform hospital procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, and PEG/PEG-J tube placement
- ERCP/EUS preferred procedures
- Utilize 4 procedure rooms/endoscopy suites with Olympus equipment
- Conduct hydrogen breath testing and capsule endoscopy
- Administer propofol sedation
- Use Cerner, gGastro, and Athena EMR systems
- Average 12 patients per day for procedures with fewer inpatient consultations
- Board certification required with fellowship training
- ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
- MI medical license required
