Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide inpatient locum coverage for gastroenterology services
• 
  
• Work schedule includes 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with call coverage from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM including weekends
• 
  
• No 24-hour call shifts required
• 
  
• Handle 13-14 patient encounters per shift
• 
  
• ERCP procedures required and EUS preferred
• 
  
• Must be willing to obtain privileges for procedures on pediatric patients 13 years and older and over 65 kg
• 
  
• Board certification required with minimum board certification eligible
• 
  
• Fellowship training required
• 
  
• ACLS and BLS certifications required through American Heart Association
• 
  
• Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration required
• 
  
• ERCP diagnostic and therapeutic procedures required
• 
  
• PEG placement and esophageal procedures required
• 
  
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision required
• 
  
• Coverage needed for specific dates in July, August, October, November, and December
