Opportunity:

Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Perform procedures in the Endoscopy Suite on Mondays, Wednesdays, half-day Thursdays, and Fridays
• 
  
• See patients in the office on Tuesdays and half-day Thursdays
• 
  
• Take night call every night and round on any patient consults in the hospital
• 
  
• Expected patient encounters per shift: 20-25
• 
  
• Overtime calculated after 40 hours, not daily
• 
  
• Required procedures include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, and PEG placement
• 
  
• Esophageal dilatation/manometry and small bowel biopsy required
• 
  
• Lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid preferred), and colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision required
• 
  
• Board certification eligible minimum required; board certified not mandatory
• 
  
• Fellowship training required
• 
  
• Locum Tenens assignment, ASAP start, ongoing need
