Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
- Perform procedures in the Endoscopy Suite on Mondays, Wednesdays, half of Thursdays, and Fridays
- See patients in office on Tuesdays and half of Thursdays
- Take night call every night and round on patient consults in the hospital
- Handle 20-25 patient encounters per shift
- Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices required
- PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures required
- Esophageal dilatation/manometry required
- Small bowel biopsy required
- Lower GI endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy (flexible required, rigid preferred) required
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp required
- Board certification eligible minimum required
- Fellowship training required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 30 days
- Overtime calculated after 40 hours, not daily
