Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
- Inpatient coverage with potential outpatient procedures in a Gastro Hospitalist type role
- Weekday coverage only, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no nights or weekends
- Full-time coverage with a minimum of 14 shifts per month required
- Guaranteed 8 hours per day with overtime applicable after 40 hours per week
- Approximately 5 patient encounters per shift
- Minimum availability of 2 weeks per month if two providers are identified to work a 2-on/2-off schedule
- GI Fellowship completion required
- Board certification required
- Active license or IMLC required; active DEA required
- Required procedural skills include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and cautery; esophageal dilation and manometry interpretation; small bowel biopsy; lower GI endoscopy; sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid); and colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Opportunity to perform outpatient procedures if desired; please indicate interest upon presentation
- Potential consideration for permanent placement if the engagement is a strong mutual fit
