Job Opportunity

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematologist. Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center is one of only seven MD Anderson Cancer Center partners in the country and the only one in Louisiana.

Position Details

Physician - Hematology Ochsner Health - Cancer Services

Aside from inpatient and outpatient patient care responsibilities, candidates have the opportunity to participate in or develop clinical research studies, teach fellows and residents, and contribute to the development of the program. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in hematology.

Position Highlights:

  • ACGME 2 year Classical Hematology fellowship in addition to 3 year combined fellowship (total 16 fellows)
  • Unique practice design with virtual consult coverage supporting inpatient and outpatient care and an innovative econsult platform
  • Highly trained advanced practitioner resource support
  • Dedicated Classical Hematology Team without malignant hematology or oncology care responsibilities
  • Educational and research opportunities
  • Pathology support, apheresis and blood bank team, continuously growing in house lab capability (includes factor levels, inhibitor studies) pursuing site accreditation for gene therapies
