Physician - Hematology Oncology
Job Details:
- Full-time coverage required, 4 weeks per month
- Functions as a member of the clinical patient care team performing tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist
- EMR: EPIC
- Setting: Outpatient - free standing cancer center
- Schedule: 4 or 5 days per week, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with admin day or half day if needed
- Call schedule: 7 days of call including one weekend, 1 in 4 rotation
- On-site coverage only; telehealth not available for this position
- Practice demographics are approximately 20% hematology and 80% oncology, with a focus on new solid tumor diagnoses seen within 1 week of referral
- Average of 10-15 patients per day in outpatient clinic
- Hospital rounding only when patients are admitted for inpatient chemotherapy
- Radiation Oncologists will be present during coverage
- 2 APPs currently providing coverage alongside 3 physicians
- Trauma Level 3 facility
- Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology required
- Active Oregon license highly preferred
- Clean background and no malpractice highly preferred
- DEA required
