Physician - Hematology/Oncology

Job Details:

• Full-time position with ongoing assignment requiring minimum 6-month commitment
• 
  
• Day shift clinic coverage 5 days per week, 8 hours each day from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• 
  
• See approximately 15 adult patients per day in rural community setting
• 
  
• Patient population split 60% hematology and 40% oncology cases
• 
  
• Treat all solid tumor and benign/malignant hematological conditions
• 
  
• Call schedule includes 2 weekends per month and 10 days per month night call
• 
  
• 1:2 call rotation with both inpatient and phone coverage responsibilities
• 
  
• Weekend coverage includes 2 hours of gratis rounding on Saturday/Sunday
• 
  
• Evening call Monday-Friday from 4:15 PM to 8:00 AM with typically 2-3 patient calls
• 
  
• Consultation services only - hospitalists handle admissions
• 
  
• Work with 14-chair, 2-bedroom on-site infusion center with oncology certified nurses
• 
  
• Coordinate with on-site radiation oncology department
• 
  
• Participate in tumor board meetings through healthcare system
• 
  
• Collaborate with 3 advanced practice providers and on-site pharmacist support
• 
  
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• 
  
• Board certified or board eligible in Hematology/Oncology required
• 
  
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• 
  
• DEA registration required with Pennsylvania address
