Locum Hematologist Oncologist coverage needed from approximately October 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026 for an FMLA gap with no extension needed
Outpatient clinic schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with after-hours call as part of a shared call pool
Call schedule: shared call pool with APP support, covering 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Practice setting includes inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic, and infusion center
Call ratio of 1 in 5
Patient population: Adult and Geriatric
Position focus is approximately 90% hematology and 10% solid tumor coverage
Coverage includes both malignant and benign hematology; benign heme patients outnumber malignant heme patients
Community practice model seeing a typical variety of malignant hematology patients; no BMT or advanced academic center treatments
When on call, provider may cover all patients including solid tumor and hematology
6 physicians in practice with 5 inpatient APPs covering 2 hospitals and 6 outpatient APPs
Radiation Oncologists present during locum tenens coverage
Average of 10-15 patients per day for inpatient rounding and 15 patients per day in outpatient clinic
EMR: Epic
Required procedures include FNA/Biopsy
Required duties include participation on a Tumor Board, ordering tests and images, prescribing
Board Certification required; active Michigan license strongly preferred
BLS required; must be available full time
