Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology services Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 
  
• See primarily medical oncology and hematology patients with 40% hematology/60% medical oncology patient mix
• 
  
• Handle 15-23 patients per clinic shift with patient encounters ranging from 18-25 per shift
• 
  
• Perform consultations, follow-ups, and possible bone marrow procedures
• 
  
• Take beeper call with consultation responsibilities and occasional rounding
• 
  
• Night call typically involves 1-2 patients with phone consultations
• 
  
• Weekend call includes phone calls and potential hospital rounding
• 
  
• Work alongside 2 full-time physicians and 2 full-time advanced practice providers
• 
  
• Minimum 2 weeks of availability required with preference for 4 weeks per month commitment
• 
  
• Fellowship training required with board certification or board eligibility
• 
  
• ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
• 
  
• Emergency privileges available within 60 days

The facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center and maintains comprehensive cancer care services for the community.
