Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
- Full-time Hematology/Oncology (no medical oncology) locum coverage
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with one hour lunch; overtime applies after 9-hour day
- Team consists of 3 MDs and 3 APPs with support from RN/MA, navigators, and infusion RNs
- Radiation oncology services available on-site
- Bone marrow biopsies required
- 1:4 weekly hospital call, Friday 7:30 AM to Friday 7:30 AM; rounding 1-2 hours each day Monday through Sunday with additional weekday afternoon rounding from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Call coverage includes acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy patients; phone calls required with rare call-ins
- Clinic weekday call shared among providers for add-on consults and supervising chemotherapy patients
- Each provider supervises their own chemotherapy clinic patients
- Documentation required for post-Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post-CAR-T Cell Therapy patients
- Approximately 15 patient encounters per shift
- Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible accepted
- ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
- Level 2 trauma facility
- Provider must utilize real-time Mobile Time Clock, preferably GPS
