Opportunity:
Physician - Hematology/Oncology
Job Details:
- Outpatient clinic/private practice setting with shifts Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call required
- Preferred schedule of 3 days per week; client is open to 2 providers working alternating shifts, either 1 or 2 weeks on/off
- 12-month contract preferred
- Approximately 15 patients per day in a low-volume, solo provider setting
- Department mix is approximately 60% hematology and 40% solid tumor
- New to follow-up patient ratio is approximately 20% new patients and 80% follow-ups
- High-acuity cases such as acute leukemias are typically referred to tertiary centers
- Standard medical oncology infusion supervision model with no unique or additional supervision requirements beyond typical practice standards
- One APP on-site daily to assist with follow-ups, supportive care visits, documentation, and orders in collaboration with the physician
- Dedicated oncology-trained RNs support infusion services during clinic hours
- Provider will participate in tumor board
- EMR system: Meditech
- Board Certification in hematology or medical oncology required
- Must have recent patient-facing experience
