Outpatient clinic setting with shifts running 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call requirements
Preferred schedule of 3 days per week; open to 2 providers working alternating shifts on a 1 or 2 weeks on/off basis
Approximately 15 patients per day in a low-volume, solo provider environment
Department mix is approximately 60% hematology and 40% solid tumor
New to follow-up patient ratio is approximately 20% new patients and 80% follow-ups
High-acuity cases such as acute leukemias are typically referred to tertiary centers; practice does not routinely manage these on-site
One APP on-site daily to assist with follow-ups, supportive care visits, documentation, and orders in collaboration with the physician
Dedicated oncology-trained RNs support infusion services during clinic hours
Standard medical oncology infusion supervision model with no unique or additional supervision requirements beyond typical practice standards
Provider will participate in tumor board
EMR system is Meditech
Board Certification in hematology and medical oncology required
Recent patient-facing experience required
12-month contract preferred
