Full-Time Physician Hospitalist (Nights) Aultman Hospital Canton, Ohio Position Overview: Nocturnist Physician to join our overnight care team. Working as part of a two-physician nocturnist team, this role focuses on admitting patients, consulting on cases, and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care during nighttime hours. Nocturnists play a key role in supporting the hospitals overnight operations while collaborating with emergency department physicians, nurse practitioners, utilization management, and bedside clinical staff to provide exceptional care. Key Responsibilities: Admit 8-12 patients per shift and provide consultative services for hospitalized patients, ensuring timely and accurate assessments. Deliver high-quality patient care with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Complete thorough documentation and accurate CPT coding/billing on the date of service to maintain revenue cycle integrity. Collaborate closely with the emergency department, AIM CNPs, and other clinical staff to ensure smooth patient transitions and continuity of care. Assist with cross-coverage for inpatients in collaboration with AIM nurse practitioners, providing clinical support and answering questions as needed. Respond to rapid responses, working as a team with bedside staff to provide timely and effective care. Closed ICU no procedures required.
