Job Details:

• Night shift, on-site position covering Hospital Medicine
• 
  
• EMR system used is Meditech
• 
  
• Seasoned providers who can handle 18-20+ patient encounters per shift are encouraged to apply
• 
  
• Providers will round on 15-22 patients per day depending on volume and shift
• 
  
• Facility has 120 beds with a daily census of 50-60 patients
• 
  
• 10-12 daily admissions expected
• 
  
• 1-2 consults per day to behavioral health unit or with surgery
• 
  
• Providers will round in an open ICU with intensivist involvement managing drips and vents
• 
  
• Robust support staff includes PT, OT, SLP, case managers, respiratory therapy, intensivist, ED, and surgery teams
• 
  
• Once call rotation is completed, providers are not expected to be called back after their shift
• 
  
• Orientation consists of two 12-hour shadow shifts
• 
  
• 2 open positions available

This community hospital is a Level 2 trauma center providing a wide range of inpatient medical services to an underserved patient population. The facility features a collaborative care environment with dedicated support staff including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, case management, respiratory therapy, and on-site intensivist coverage. The hospital emphasizes teamwork across specialties including behavioral health, surgery, and emergency medicine to deliver comprehensive patient care.
