Job Details:

• Hospital Medicine specialty position providing on-site inpatient coverage
• 
  
• Schedule is 7 days on / 7 days off with 12-hour shifts available as day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) or night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• 
  
• No home call required - on-site work only
• 
  
• Census of 18-22 patients per physician with approximately 3-5 daily admissions for daytime rounders
• 
  
• Will round in the ICU with Critical Care on site as the primary team
• 
  
• Procedures appreciated but not required; no ventilator management required
• 
  
• 0-1 consults per day
• 
  
• Patient population is clinically complex and socioeconomically diverse within a tertiary safety net and referral hospital setting
• 
  
• Level 2 Trauma Center and Stroke Center designation
• 
  
• Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physicians preferred
• 
  
• No gaps in inpatient clinical practice required
• 
  
• Hospital Medicine team includes APPs
• 
  
• EMR system is Meditech Expanse; orientation includes EMR training and shadow shifts

This facility is a large hospital with 500+ beds serving as a tertiary safety net and referral hospital for the Treasure Coast region of Florida. It is a Level 2 Trauma Center and Stroke Center equipped to handle a wide range of clinically complex cases. The hospital supports a robust Hospital Medicine program with a census of 250+ patients and a multidisciplinary team that includes both physicians and advanced practice providers.
