Physician - Hospitalist
Job Details:
- Provide nighttime call coverage only for hospitalist services with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Average inpatient census of 15 patients per shift
- Average of 2 admits per night with requirement to be within 20 minutes to admit if needed and available for calls
- Department consists of 23 beds
- Must be US Board Certified in internal medicine or related specialty
- Active Michigan medical license required
- Active Michigan Controlled Substance License required
- Active DEA license required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Preferred adult procedures include inpatient care with ICU experience, non-invasive and invasive ventilation management, intubation, chest tube placement, arterial line placement, PA catheter placement, PICC line placement, and EKG interpretation
- Preferred pediatric procedures include inpatient care, nursery level I, non-invasive and invasive ventilation management, intubation, conscious sedation, deep sedation, and central line placement
- Onsite orientation required prior to first shift
