Evergreen is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician to work .2 fte/8 hours per week. The ID Physician provides clinical care to those living with HIV in addition to conducting Infectious Disease consultations. They support the development of policies and procedures related to HIV Standards of Care and other Infectious Diseases. The ID Physician collaborates with the Medical Director of Infectious Disease to ensure effective systems are in place for all aspects of clinical operations.





As part of the essential functions of the role, the Infectious Disease Physician:




+ Provides HIV medical care to patients of Primary & Specialty Care Services


+ Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination and diagnostic tests


+ In accordance with medical protocols, evaluates test findings, makes initial medical diagnosis and develops and implements a therapeutic plan consistent with the continuing healthcare needs of the patient


+ Initiates first line medical care plan within defined protocols and discontinues therapeutic regimens as per protocol


+ Evaluates the plan of care for effectiveness and institutes the necessary adjustments of corrections


+ Other duties as requested








Required Education and Experience: Licensed Physician with the NYS Education Department, board certified in a medical specialty; at least two years experience in an active medical practice with proven administrative responsibilities, and experience with EMR software (Medent)


Required Certification: BLS/CPR
