Call:
1-in-2 weekends and weekday holidays, shared equally between the two physicians. Candidates should be prepared for this commitment during the initial phase of program growth.
REQUIREMENTS
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease; certification must be achieved within the timeframe defined by the applicable specialty board
Active Michigan medical license or ability to obtain prior to start
DEA license
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A typical day may include:
Providing direct inpatient infectious disease consultation across medical and surgical services
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including pharmacy, nursing, and surgical specialties
Teaching and mentoring Internal Medicine residents and medical students
Documenting in Epic EMR
Engaging in quality improvement and patient safety efforts
Contributing to the growth of a hospital-employed ID program
