Physician - Interventional Cardiology
Job Details:
- Locum tenens Invasive Interventional Cardiologist coverage position
- Must hold an active Utah (UT) state medical license to be considered
- Provide 24/7 interventional cardiology call coverage
- Provide full general cardiology and interventional cardiology consultative services
- Read transthoracic echocardiograms and perform TEEs (transesophageal echocardiograms)
- Perform cardiac stress tests and read ECGs
- Provide general and interventional cardiology consultations and follow-up as needed
- Perform heart catheterizations, coronary interventions, temporary pacing lead placements, and IABP procedures
- Perform cardioversions
- Read echos and ECGs remotely for additional Northern Utah HCA hospital locations
- Take phone calls from transfer service and answering service
- Special skills required: Interventional Cardiology and echocardiogram including TEE
- EMR systems used: Epic, Meditech, and Merge MUSE
- Daily patient volume: 12
- Support staff includes a 3-person 24/7 call team with daily staffing to operate two labs Monday through Wednesday and one lab Thursday and Friday
