Physician Location: Marion, Illinois Schedule: Part-Time – Approximately 20 Hours per Week / 2 Days per Week Work Setting: On-Site, Federal Correctional Institution Euola is seeking a qualified Physician to provide on-site medical services at a Federal Correctional Institution in Marion, Illinois. This is a part-time opportunity providing general medical care to an adult patient population in a structured federal healthcare environment.The Physician is expected to provide approximately 20 hours of services per week, typically over two days per week. Scheduling will occur Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, and will be coordinated with facility leadership based on operational needs.ScheduleApproximately 20 hours per weekApproximately 2 days per weekTypically up to 10 hours of service per scheduled workdayMonday through FridayNo regularly scheduled federal holiday coverage30-minute unpaid lunch periodApproximately 48 weeks of service annuallySchedule coordinated with facility Health Services leadershipOn-site position; remote work is not availableResponsibilitiesThe Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to the facility's adult patient population. Responsibilities include:Perform complete physical examinationsObtain comprehensive medical and social historiesReview all body systems and perform physical assessmentsEvaluate and document objective clinical findingsOrder appropriate diagnostic testingDiagnose and treat medical conditions within the Physician's scope of practicePrescribe and manage medications as medically appropriateRefer patients to specialists when clinically necessaryCoordinate referrals to community hospitals and admitting physicians when hospitalization is requiredMaintain accurate and complete electronic medical recordsComplete required medical documentation by the end of each workdayMake recommendations for additional diagnostic testing and treatmentCommunicate with facility clinical and Health Services leadershipFollow applicable federal, state, institutional, and professional standards of careMaintain appropriate professional conduct and awareness of security requirements within a correctional environmentMinimum QualificationsCandidates must:Hold a current and valid license to practice medicinePossess the education, knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to independently perform physician servicesBe able to provide documentation verifying education, professional licensure, certifications, and applicable trainingMaintain all required professional licenses and credentials throughout employmentSuccessfully complete required Federal Bureau of Prisons credentialing, security, and background/suitability requirementsMeet applicable health requirements for working in a healthcare/correctional environmentBe able to work professionally with an adult population in a secure federal facilityBe able to maintain complete and accurate electronic medical documentation
