Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine

Our organization is in search of a board-certified or board-eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join our Women’s and Infants service line.

Position Overview:

This clinically focused role involves ambulatory and hospital perinatal consultations and ultrasounds.
- Participation in a 24-hour academic OB program
- Involvement in resident education with an emphasis on academic and quality improvement research
- Clinical and academic collaboration with the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) and Texas Christian University (TCU) and UNTHSC School of Medicine
- Shared call responsibilities
- Experience in Fetal Echo is preferred.

Qualifications:

Women’s and Infants Team:
Our team consists of 10 board-certified OB/GYN physicians, 6 subspecialists, and 21 Advanced Practice Providers (WHNP and CNM), along with 16 OBGYN residents. Together, we provide comprehensive services and support for women at every life stage. Our offerings include preventive healthcare, low and high-risk prenatal, childbirth, and postnatal care, menopause management, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology evaluation and treatment. We are designated as a Level I Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Level IV MLOC, delivering an average of 4,000 babies annually with 24-hour in-house inpatient hospital coverage.

Required Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of residency and/or fellowship training in the specialty.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- A minimum of 5 years of independent practice experience is highly preferred.
- Current Texas Medical License is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Unrestricted DEA registration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine, collect, document, and maintain patient information, including medical history, reports, and examination results.
• Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other medical care to prevent or address illnesses, diseases, or injuries.
• Order, conduct, and interpret tests, analyzing records and examination information to diagnose patient conditions.
• Collaborate with a clinical team of technicians, advanced practice professionals, and other physicians in decision-making regarding tests, diagnoses, and treatment options for patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and progress, adjusting treatments as necessary.
• May perform surgical or non-invasive procedures within the area of specialty.
