SSM Health Medical Group is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Physician to join a well-established primary care practice on the SSM Health St. Mary‘s Hospital campus in St. Louis, Missouri. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physician or resident seeking to build a thriving outpatient practice within a mission-driven, collaborative health system.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Full-time outpatient Internal Medicine opportunity located on the SSM Health St. Mary‘s Hospital campus.
• 100% outpatient practice with no inpatient rounding responsibilities.
• A typical clinic schedule includes a mix of new and follow-up visits, commonly 20/40 or 15/30-minute appointment templates, with flexibility to adjust.
• Rotating weekend call supported by RN triage through TeamDOC, with rare calls and no expected hospital time while on call.
• 1:1 physician-to-medical assistant staffing, APP care team support, and access to hospital campus resources.

About the Practice:

This established Internal Medicine group has a strong history of service to the St. Louis community and continues to experience significant demand for adult primary care. Recent provider retirements and relocations have created an immediate opportunity for a new physician to step into meaningful patient demand, including established panels needing continued care.

The incoming physician will join a large Internal Medicine group with experienced physicians and advanced practice providers. Each clinician has dedicated office space, two to three exam rooms, and nearby collaboration space for support staff. The practice also offers helpful onsite resources, including lab services, point-of-care testing, vaccines, diabetic eye screening, virtual behavioral health support, and imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care services to adult patients.
• Build and manage an outpatient panel while improving patient access and reducing wait times.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, medical assistants, RN triage, and specialty partners across the SSM Health network.
• Support preventive care, chronic disease management, care coordination, quality outcomes, and patient-centered communication.
• Participate in practice growth, operational improvement, and team-based care initiatives.

Candidate Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Missouri.
• Open to experienced physicians and residents.
• Strong commitment to relationship-centered primary care, access, collaboration, and compassionate service.
