Community Description:

The SSM Health Department of Orthopedics in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a Hand Surgeon to join our established upper extremity practice. This position accommodates both Full-Time (1.0 FTE) and Part-Time (0.7 FTE) career paths to support optimal work-life integration.

You will join a robust, multi-specialty orthopedic department at a level II trauma center backed by an extensive primary care referral base, dedicated advanced practice providers (APPs), and specialized hand therapists.

Regional Outreach: Includes dedicated weekly outreach (typically 1 day/week) to our established clinic in Janesville, WI

Physician-Led Culture: Practice with high clinical autonomy within a mission-driven, supportive physician network.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: MD or DO from an accredited institution.

Residency: Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency training program in either Orthopedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery.

Fellowship: Successful completion of an accredited Hand Surgery Fellowship.

Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), with eligibility for a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand.

Licensure: Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Wisconsin.
