Physician - Neonatal Intensive Care

Position Title: Physician, Neonatal Intensive Care (2 openings)

Position Duties: Diagnose and treat newborns with conditions such as breathing disorders, infections, and birth defects. Coordinate care and medically manage newborns born premature, critically ill, or in need of surgery. Ensure that critically ill newborns receive the proper nutrition for healing and growth. Provide care to the newborn at a cesarean or other delivery that involves medical problems in the mother or baby that may compromise the infants health and require medical intervention in the delivery room. Stabilize and treat newborns with any life-threatening medical problems. Stabilize and transport critically ill newborns from referring facilities. Initiate and manage newborns placed on Extra Corporal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). Consult with obstetricians, pediatricians, and family physicians about conditions affecting newborn infants.

Position Qualification s: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree required. Foreign equivalent degree accepted. Must have 36 months of residency training in pediatrics and 36 months of fellowship training in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine. Must be board certified in pediatrics or eligible to sit for board certification in pediatrics. Must have valid Hawaii medical license or eligibility.

Rate of Pay: $300,000.00 -$450,000.00 per year
