Physician - Neurology

Job Details:

• Provide consistent weekday outpatient general neurology coverage across three practice locations
• 
  
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 
  
• Full-time availability preferred with a minimum commitment of three days per week required
• 
  
• Provider will be assigned to one location per day, with site rotation coordinated in advance based on patient access needs and provider availability
• 
  
• No inpatient coverage, night call, weekend call, or holiday coverage required
• 
  
• See approximately 14 to 18 outpatient clinic patients per day, including approximately 3 to 5 new patients and 10 to 13 follow-up patients
• 
  
• Patient population is 60% adult and 40% geriatric
• 
  
• Evaluate and manage new and established adult and geriatric general neurology patients
• 
  
• Manage common neurological conditions including headache and migraine, seizure disorders, neuropathy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, cognitive disorders, and post-stroke follow-up
• 
  
• Review diagnostic imaging, laboratory results, and outside medical records
• 
  
• Order appropriate diagnostic testing and manage medications
• 
  
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, APPs, specialists, and other members of the neuroscience team
• 
  
• Complete documentation, patient messages, test-result review, and follow-up responsibilities promptly
• 
  
• Work comfortably and independently across multiple outpatient practice locations
• 
  
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology required
• 
  
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey medical license or ability to obtain one required
• 
  
• BLS certification required
• 
  
• EMR platform is Cerner/Oracle Fusion
• 
  
• Provider should indicate whether they perform EEG interpretation, EMG, or Botox
