Opportunity Details

  • Outstanding opportunity for a BE/BC Neurosurgeon to join a high-performing surgical team in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
  • 7-on/7-off hospitalist neurosurgery position offering predictable scheduling and work-life balance.
  • Practice at a Level II Trauma Center with advanced imaging, modern surgical suites, and multidisciplinary neuro support.
  • Full-time, permanent role with a comprehensive cranial and spinal case mix and a strong referral base.
  • Academic involvement with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Long-term career growth within a collaborative hospital environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform the full spectrum of cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures.
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical consultations and follow-up care.
  • Interpret advanced imaging including MRI, CT, and angiography.
  • Collaborate closely with neurologists, neurointerventionalists, trauma teams, and other specialties.
  • Participate in trauma and spine call aligned with the 7-on/7-off schedule.
  • Deliver patient-centered, high-quality, evidence-based surgical care.

Requirements

  • Physicians shall be board certified in their respective clinical specialty or must achieve board certification within the timeframe defined by the applicable specialty board.
  • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA license
  • BLS certification (must be maintained)
