Physician (MD) - Neurological Surgery

Job Details:

• Ongoing PRN locum tenens need with upcoming holiday coverage dates available
• 
  
• Average of 3 patient encounters per shift
• 
  
• Board certification required at minimum certified level
• 
  
• Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
• 
  
• General Neurosurgery required with adult patient population
• 
  
• Preferred skills include cerebrovascular procedures (open and endovascular)
• 
  
• Preferred experience with carotid or vertebral artery surgery and aneurysm clipping
• 
  
• Preferred experience with tumor and neuroendocrine surgery
• 
  
• Preferred experience with stereotactic radiosurgery including functional and seizure procedures
• 
  
• Preferred experience with VP shunt and skull base surgery
• 
  
• Preferred experience with spinal surgery with and without instrumentation including cervical, thoracic, and lumbar
• 
  
• Preferred experience with peripheral nerve surgery and pain procedures
• 
  
• Preferred experience with endovascular procedures and placement of ICP monitors
• 
  
• Preferred experience with application of external traction, vent management, and central line placement
• 
  
• Fellowship training required
