Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Neurological Surgery


Job Details:

  • Board Certified Neurosurgeon needed to provide coverage 5-7 days per month, including outpatient clinic, OR, and call coverage

  • All in-house coverage in Neurocare, including Transfer Center Calls and timely answering of ER Calls

  • Level II Trauma facility requiring documented care plan in chart within 30 minutes

  • After-hours calls starting at 5:00 PM for outpatient cases with questions responded to via phone

  • Preference for 5 consecutive days of coverage

  • Responsible for sign out and handoff to incoming physicians

  • Cover emergency and urgent cases, with non-emergent cases referred to appropriate surgeons

  • Must be Board Certified in Neurological Surgery

  • Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS

  • Preferred skills include General Neurosurgery (Adult, Pediatric, Neonate, and Trauma), Cerebrovascular (Open and Endovascular), Carotid or Vertebral Artery Surgery, Aneurysm Clipping, Tumor Resection, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, VP Shunt, Skull Base Surgery, Spinal Surgery with and without Instrumentation (Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar), Peripheral Nerve Surgery, Pain Procedures, Endovascular Procedures, Placement of ICP Monitors, Application of External Traction, Vent Management, and Central Line Placement
