Responsibilities

Key Duties:

  • Conduct examinations, diagnose, treat, or prescribe treatment plans for OB/GYN patients, including those with complex cases.
  • Act as the team leader in responding to obstetrical and gynecological emergencies.
  • Perform advanced colposcopy and treat dysplasia in OB/GYN patients.
  • Administer and prescribe medications and treatments.
  • Oversee and direct the work of all personnel during assigned shifts or in the absence of the regular supervisor.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Eligibility: US Citizens

To qualify, candidates must meet the educational and experiential criteria outlined below. Experience encompasses both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, community, student, social). All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be considered. Your resume should clearly detail your relevant experience; if qualifying through education, transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Basic Requirements for Physician:

  • Degree: A Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from an accredited institution in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by recognized bodies such as the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or similar organizations. For degrees obtained from foreign medical schools, equivalency to accredited U.S. institutions must be demonstrated through permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
  • Licensure: Candidates must hold a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
  • Graduate Training: Following the attainment of a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, candidates must have at least one year of supervised clinical experience, such as a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in an accredited hospital or institution.

In addition to the basic requirements, candidates must also meet the following qualifications:

  • Residency Training: Applicants must have successfully completed the necessary accredited residency training in the relevant specialty (Family Medicine) and possess equivalent experience and training totaling at least four years. Experience cannot substitute for the required residency training for the specified specialty.
