This comprehensive OB/GYN role presents an enriching combination of outpatient services, gynecological surgery, and inpatient duties, specifically covering our facility's maternity unit. Physicians in this position will engage in scheduled shifts and provide backup support for labor and delivery, obstetric triage, and urgent gynecological care. This role is essential in delivering holistic women's health services throughout the medical center, ensuring continuity of care for patients across the healthcare system.
The responsibilities encompass full-spectrum obstetric care, management of both routine and complex gynecological cases, and surgical opportunities in both the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center. Our facility boasts 24/7 in-house anesthesia and CRNA support, a significant advantage not commonly found in many community hospitals. Additionally, gynecological oncology services are available through our collaboration with a leading hospital.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive prenatal care, conduct well-woman examinations, provide contraceptive and preconception counseling, and manage high-risk pregnancies with maternal-fetal medicine support as necessary.
Administer gynecological services, including annual check-ups, assessment and treatment of menstrual and menopausal issues, contraceptive management, and minor procedures in-office.
Oversee full coverage for the maternity unit, managing laboring patients and addressing urgent obstetric and gynecological situations.
Conduct gynecological surgeries in both the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Collaborate with nurses, midwives, medical students, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Engage in labor and delivery protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing efforts to uphold high standards of patient-centered care.
Operate within a system that provides 24/7 midwifery coverage in the maternity unit.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred.
