Our organization is seeking a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist to become part of our dynamic practice, which consists of five full-time board-certified OB/GYNs, three nurse practitioners, one midwife, and a team of full-time sonographers. You will work in a private office environment, backed by the extensive resources of a prominent medical institution. This practice operates as a division of a community medical group. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional quality care, innovative treatments, and personalized service to our community. Located in Suffolk County, Long Island, our practice is conveniently situated near Stony Brook University Hospital and other local medical facilities. This position includes responsibilities as a Hospitalist.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the healthcare team in providing patient care, including diagnosis and treatment.
Gather medical histories, conduct physical examinations, diagnose conditions, and order necessary laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Assess results from procedures and deliver both preventive and acute care.
Ensure continuity of care by creating and implementing individualized patient care plans.
Educate patients about their medical conditions, self-management strategies for acute or chronic illnesses, and customize instructions based on their unique situations.
Guide and advise patients on therapeutic regimens, emphasizing wellness and health maintenance.
Prescribe medications as needed.
Document examinations and progress notes in the Electronic Medical Record, providing referral letters when necessary.
Collect, monitor, and report on patient outcomes.
Participate in shared night and weekend on-call duties with fellow physicians.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Oversee the conduct and care provided by clinical office staff, including nurses, medical assistants, and technologists, as the leader of the clinical team.
Supervise the interactions and conduct of shadowing medical students, physician extenders, and nursing interns.
Meet quality benchmarks set by Population Health, payers, the New York State Department of Health, or the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Follow established evidence-based practices to ensure high-quality patient care.
Develop a patient base to generate revenue sufficient to cover salary and operational expenses.
$350,000 - $400,000 per year
Graduation from an MD or DO program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Licensure in New York State.
Experience in a group practice or collaborative setting.
Background in OB/GYN.
Experience with advanced laparoscopic surgery in gynecology.
