    Opportunity Details

    • Position Type: Contingent (0.0 FTE)
    • Location: Muskegon, MI
    • Specialty: OB Hospitalist
    • Teaching Opportunities: Yes - Residents, Medical Students, Fellows
    • Additional Details:
      • Provide in-house coverage and total management for obstetric patients, including labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies and postpartum care
      • Our Birth Center features private, comfortable, home-like birthing rooms 
      • Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
      • Trinity Health Muskegon features a Level II Special Care Nursery, designed to provide specialized care for babies who need extra support. A Level III NICU in Grand Rapids is available for more complex cases
      • 1 OB hospitalist on duty per shift; will work alongside experienced labor & delivery RNs, NICU APP and will have access to a social worker

    Requirements

    • Relevant clinical experience required
    • Board certified in their respective clinical specialty or must achieve board certification within the timeframe defined by the applicable specialty board.
    • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
    • DEA license

    Duties & Responsibilities

    A typical day may include:

    • Providing direct patient care
    • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
    • Participating in teaching and mentoring
    • Documenting in Epic EMR
    • Engaging in quality improvement initiatives
    • Supporting community health efforts
